English for Plumbing Engineers

Foreword

The English lessons are especially designed for college students and engineers in plumbing or civil engineering field, as well as whoever involving in international engineering projects. However, English speaking engineers may also be interested in the knowledge delivered through these texts as well.

The editor's intention is that the readers with Chinese as his or her native language can know the terminologies in English, including components, design, construction, etc. of plumbing systems through learning these lessons in order to promote communication internationally.

Please note that these lessons are not design guides. The plumbing codes are ever changing. Moreover, each courntry, state, or city may has its own plumbing code, and disregarding plumbing codes may cause sever consiquences.

The materials quoted in this course are mostly from various codes, guidelines, specifications and so on, published in the Internet by governments, manufacturers, distinquished plumbing engineers, researchers, etc. However, they may contain mistakes, or some concepts, principles, theories, methods, etc. may not be suitable in your case. Therefore, the editor of this course is not responsible for any damages may be caused in your project because of the application of any part of any lesson in this course.
